The Rallye du Maroc has come to an end after six days of twists and turns. From October 3rd to October 9th, competitors were fighting for victory as well as for their love for off-road sensations. The race took place in five different steps from Fez to Fez, passing by Erfoud as well as the Merzouga’s dunes. For this edition, Nasser Al-Attiyah and his copilote Matthieu Baumel are imposing themselves for the fifth time in a row as the official Rallye du Maroc 2018’s winner.

From the stony fields to the dunes, Nasser Al Attiyah knew how to express his off-road talent. For Matthieu Baumel, however, it was the first time in a while the race was that interesting and complicated. They managed to go through the five different steps brilliantly on the wheel of their Toyota Hilux with BFGoodrich tires, and show that their determination and preparation for Dakar 2019 is on point.

For this 2018 edition, there was not only one but two winners! Even though the Polish, Jakub Przygonski with his Mini ALL4 Racing, has arrived on the second position, he managed to win the title as cross-country worldwide champion.

Nevertheless, the French pilot Cyril Desprès has been given the 3rd place on board of his buggy Mini with Jean-Paul Cottret as his co-pilot. They were expecting the second place, as they’ve flattened 3 times during the race which has played a role in their timing.
